How long should shock absorbers last on a pickup truck?
Typically, pickup shock absorbers last 50,000 to 10,0000 miles. However, if your ute is subjected to severe off-road or towing environments, the lifespan can be shorter.
Do I need an alignment after replacing shocks?
It depends on your suspension setup. If you replaced standard, direct-fit shock absorbers without altering the ride height, an alignment is not necessarily required in general. Yet, if you installed a strut or changed the vehicle’s ground clearance, it is best to get a wheel alignment.
Is it okay to just replace rear shocks?
Yes, you can replace only the rear shocks. However, it is highly recommended to replace them in pairs (left and right) to ensure proper handling.
